Coming from Colombia, I was already biased against Costa Rica. What could it possibly offer beyond the natural setting and perfect weather I was already enjoying in Medellin? Personally, I prefer forgotten places—run-down, off-track, free of tourists. So, naturally, the world-famous Costa Rica didn’t seem like my kind of place.
